Who We Are

Empowering Through Advocacy & Action

The Challenged Foundation (TCF) is a Non-Governmental Organisation dedicated to ensuring that the voices of persons with disabilities are heard, respected, and represented — in their communities, in policy spaces, and in society at large.

TCF empowers persons with disabilities through advocacy, education, mentorship, and training programmes that promote independence, dignity, and equal opportunity. Through these initiatives, we support individuals in building the confidence, skills, and resources they need to pursue their aspirations and contribute meaningfully to their communities.

Beyond direct empowerment, TCF organises advocacy forums, public awareness campaigns, and community engagement activities that confront discrimination, dismantle social barriers, and advance inclusive policies for persons with disabilities.

The Challenged Foundation is a wholly Ghanaian-owned organisation, incorporated under Ghana's Companies Code, 1963 (Act 179). TCF currently implements disability advocacy initiatives with the support of ADD International, deepening its commitment to advancing disability rights and inclusion across communities.

Advocacy

We work to shift the policies and social attitudes that shape the lives of persons with disabilities.

Community Impact

We collaborate with communities and partners to build change that is sustainable, inclusive, and owned by the people it serves.
