About the Founder
Veronica L. Amartey is an Amazon Bestselling Author, disability rights advocate, philanthropist, empowerment coach, and the Founder and Executive Director of The Challenged Foundation (TCF). Born in Ghana and based in Germany, Veronica has dedicated her life to advancing inclusion, dignity, accessibility, and equal opportunities for persons with disabilities. Through her leadership at TCF, she spearheads transformative initiatives focused on advocacy, mentorship, empowerment training, storytelling, leadership development, and community engagement. Driven by both lived experience and purpose, Veronica is passionate about challenging stereotypes, amplifying marginalized voices, and promoting systems that enable persons with disabilities to thrive independently and confidently. Her work bridges advocacy with empowerment, creating spaces where individuals are not only supported but equipped to lead, participate, and influence change within their communities. At the core of her mission is a belief she continues to champion through every stage of her journey: “Ability is not defined by disability.” Through public speaking, advocacy campaigns, digital engagement, and capacity-building initiatives, Veronica continues to inspire resilience, influence conversations around disability inclusion, and advocate for a more accessible, equitable, and inclusive society. Her vision extends beyond awareness — toward lasting social transformation, where persons with disabilities are fully seen, heard, respected, and empowered to shape their own futures. Response 1
